Coach Administered Testing Summary
Tests Included:

Star 1–5: Freeskate and Dance

Star 1–Gold: Skills
-
Star 5–Gold: Artistic
Before the Test
-
Coach informs skater and parent when the skater is ready to test.

Parent receives the Coach Administered Test – Information for Parents letter.

Parent purchases a Coach Administered Test Ticket through City View Uplifter.

Parent prints and gives the paid invoice to the coach before the test (no exceptions).
During the Test

Coach completes the assessment sheet fully.

Test is conducted during a regular skating session (ice usually stays open).
-
If clear ice is needed, the coach and skater will arrange a convenient time — no extra ice rental required.
After the Test

Coach reviews results with the skater/parent.

Skater keeps the bottom portion of the assessment sheet.

Coach attaches the test ticket invoice and top portion of the sheet together.

Coach submits both to the City View Test Chair.
Other Important Notes

Coaches are responsible for:

Completing and submitting all forms clearly.

Ensuring the test ticket is attached.

The Test Chair submits results to Skate Canada every two months.

Fees are set within Skate Canada guidelines.

Test ticket fees go directly to Skate Canada to cover official test costs.
