Return To Skating - City View Skating Club Guidelines

Upon arrival at the rink:

Please stay home if you are feeling unwell, exhibiting any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone with COVID-19, and contact 811.

Please sanitize hands on entry into rink and throughout the building as needed.

Skaters should come to rink as prepared as possible for their session - see individual facility protocols for guidelines on arrival time. Skaters must be properly wearing a face covering when entering the arena, and should exercise physical distancing while entering and exiting the ice surface and while putting on skates. 

Coaches/ Program Assistants/ Officials/ Parents/ Spectators/ Volunteers must be properly wearing a face covering when entering the arena and continue wearing their face covering until they exit the arena, and exercise physical distancing where possible. 

Coaches/ Program Assistants should exercise physical distancing while entering and exiting the ice surface and while putting on skates.

Coaches will monitor attendance of skaters registered in the programs. 

On the ice:

Skaters under the age of 18 can remove their face covering when they step on the ice, or when putting on their helmet to get onto the ice. As guided by individual facility protocol, participants over the age of 18 may take their face covering off when on the ice at Balgonie Stardome and Pilot Butte Arena can demonstrate they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for the duration of the sport only.

Coaches/ Program Assistants must wear their face covering at all times in the facility including on the ice, as guided by Skate Canada.

Physical distancing should be exercised when possible by all participants.

Coaches only will be using the i-pod for music.  Each coach will have their own stylus and will practice proper hand sanitization if required. 

We will be using limited teaching aids and each coach will have their own supply (ex: markers, pylons).

Programs:

The City View Skating Club Board & Coaches will monitor the Government of Saskatchewan guidelines and Public Health Orders. Programs will be adjusted if needed, and communicated by email.
